My 7 Favorite Places in the Mediterranean
I don't think one can truly know the Mediterranean.
You cross it, you breathe it in, you get a little lost in it, and each time, it changes.
It has a thousand faces, a thousand moods, a thousand blues.
But if I had to choose seven stops, seven places that tell my idea of the South,
it would be these. ⚓️
1. Saint-Tropez (France) – The Port of Departures
It all starts here.
It's more than a village... It's a state of mind.
Sun-drenched alleyways, laughter on the port, morning coffee at Place des Lices.
This is where Bleu mon Jules was born, amidst the rustle of sails and the smell of salt.
And every summer, I return, like visiting an old friend.
2. Hydra (Greece) – The Car-Free Island
Hydra is calm.
The blue bluer than anywhere else, mules replacing engines,
and light caressing the white facades.
I imagined my Hydra shirt there, inspired by this suspended softness,
this simple beauty that can only be observed in silence.
3. Kythnos (Greece) – The Secret of the Cyclades
Less known, wilder.
An island that smells of sage and hot stone,
where you swim in coves you keep to yourself.
This is the spirit of my Kythnos piece, a light shirt, made for those who love to travel without direction.
4. Kea (Greece) – Gentleness Incarnate
An island that looks like a drawing.
Golden hills, deserted alleyways during siesta time,
and that gentle wind found on happy faces.
My Kea shirt pays homage to it: simple, luminous, sunny.
5. Ramatuelle (France) – The Scent of Pine and Warm Sand
A few kilometers from Saint-Tropez,
but a different vibration.
Here, evenings end barefoot, tables are wooden,
and the sea, right there, watches silently.
It's the most sincere Mediterranean, the one you keep to yourself.
6. Calvi (Corsica) – The Mountain in the Sea
A place that has it all: rocks, pines, the deep blue sea.
Every summer, the Java Bleue comes alive, and celebration blends with nature.
It's raw, it's real, it's Corsica.
And when the music stops, you can still hear the sea applauding.
7. Marseille (France) – The Magnificent Chaos
Here, blue is everywhere, on the shutters, in the voices, on the walls.
Marseille is the Mediterranean at its most vibrant.
I left friends, memories, and some too-short nights there.
It's a port, a promise, a crossroads of stories.
And every time I go there, I find a little bit of myself.
⚓ Live blue, everywhere
The Mediterranean needs no borders.
It's in the light, in the salty skin, in a laugh on a terrace.
These seven places, I didn't choose them: they chose me.
They taught me to live more slowly, to love simple things,
and to keep a little sunshine in everything I do.
